Compact Cooling Case
Our perception of what constitutes a PC has fundamentally changed. With the advancement of computing components such as the motherboard, PCs are becoming smaller. However, the trend of small form factor desktop computers highlights one particular issue that is commonly found in consumer electronics: heat dissipation and thermal management. C3 (Compact Cooling Case) sets out to increase the cooling efficiency in compact, yet high-performance desktop PCs. Through compartmentalising active and passive components, the internal layout provides a structured channel for the airflow to reach every component in the most efficient manner. By implementing principles of fluid dynamics that are used in modern F1 cars, a pressure differential induces a secondary airflow, that aids the cooling process of other core heat dissipating components such as the Graphics card. A visual feedback system is then implemented through LED lights that change colour depending on the operating temperature.
