Indoor air quality is becoming increasingly harmful with pollutants from furnishings and appliances being released into our environment and trapped due to poor ventilation, most commonly a problem in new builds which follow stringent insulation guidelines. Indoor air pollution is up to five times worse than outdoors but 90% of our time is spent indoors. Existing purifiers are large, noisy, expensive and generally undesirable - the Purity module is a plant based solution that functions silently; it is inexpensive and highly adaptable. Certain plants have extremely effective air purifying qualities and the Purity module optimises these by encouraging air flow around the root base, where most of the purification happens. Activated carbon mixed into a hydroculture growing medium further improves the plants ability to remove toxins from the environment. The hexagon shaped module stacks for creating large arrays whilst an integrated irrigation system makes maintaining a large array easy.
