Lighting up learning with Lightil

Enhancing working memory and maths skills for children from 5 years old

More than 3000 school children in the UK were tested; 10% had poor working memory and scored very low in standardised tests for maths and comprehension including multiplication table according to Tracy Alloway. Lightil is an interactive and multi-sensory toy that aims to enhance multiplication tableskills and working memory for 4+ year olds through interactive social play. It aims to encourage parental involvement in children's learning environment as the importance of playing together as a family is evident through primary and secondary research. It comes with a set of interchangeable stencils, each representing one of the tables. The stencils act as a pilot that can be slotted into the seat. The child would be able to learn through the visualisation of a variety of different coloured light projections as the turbine is turned. Let the pilot fly Lightil, while you power the turbine.
