The Spirock climbing shoe is a development of the existing, modern climbing shoe. Existing shoe shapes force the feet into unnatural positions for the purpose of a tight fit that does not allow foot movement inside the shoe. This fit is very uncomfortable, painful and in many cases damages the feet and toenails of the climber. Spirock shoes release the user from discomfort and pain and reduces the risk of other foot injuries. This is achieved by having a wider toe box and a metal insert between the sole and lining which frees the toes and also gives support when standing on small rock edges. An around-the-foot lace system is an innovative way to get a perfect snug fit to avoid foot movement inside the shoe whilst climbing.
