Rethinking the ebike
With current ebikes, the styling is often less than desirable or inconvenient for the average city commuter in the UK, and some of the components create environmental issues. The FixiE is an ebike of higher aesthetic value, with features to make city commuting even easier. It is also designed to manage its electronic waste; the battery pack is engineered for repurposing into a new product, at end of life. This strategy does not comply with UK waste management legislation, it leads it. With its style based on the original fixed gear bike, and seamlessly integrated electronics, I would argue that it's more than just an ebike, but the electrification of a classic!
