Thumbs Up London
How can we make Londoners be more friendly with each other whilst using the London Underground service?
The idea is to raise awareness of the different difficulties people may have whilst using the London Underground system. People using the system experience problems whilst navigating through the stations; for example, mothers often struggle with baby prams whilst using a long set of stairs, older people find it difficult to navigate their way around a big underground station, and pregnant women find themselves standing in a busy train. Thumbs Up is a signage system which will educate Londoners about disabilities; and the different problems people have whilst using the London Underground. Whenever commuters see the Thumbs Up signage they will be made aware of particular places where passengers may have difficulty accessing. In order to raise awareness of the campaign, there will be posters in the tube stations as well as a website where people can read their particular mobility problems - which then be used to form a better system.
