The Ooji water meter has been designed to be attached to household bathroom taps to measure and help control the volume of water a child uses on a daily basis. The primary objective of the innovative product is to change the child's attitudes and behaviour towards water consumption and conservation. The water meter is used alongside a digital smart device application where the child can then track their water usage. The app also provides the child with educational tools to aid the understanding of the effects of water waste as well as other environmental problems. The concept has been developed to maintain long term engagement and 'loyalty'. As part of the digital offering the child is able to enter 'Ooji World' which opens them up to a range of engaging and educational games. The gaming platform is directly affected by the amount of water the child has used that particular day, creating motivation for water conservation - the more water that is saved, the greater the gaming experience.
