Toibox is a container design for Africans who do not have hygienic toilets for defecation. The material is a mixture of cow manure and plant fibers lined with a film of urea, which has the benefits of low cost, biodegradability, and having the properties to isolate bacteria. Both sourcing the materials and the manufacturing process can be achieved in local regions. The collection process of used Toiboxes is a complete system, which depends on local organisations using existing gas tanks. Collection points are located next to the water points because Africans need to get water every day. 'Throw away once a day: get 1L water for free' is the method of encouragement for people. Finally, used Toiboxes with faeces are poured into gas tanks where electricity is produced.
