Cooking on a camping trip is an enjoyable experience for many Brits, but most camping stoves are either fiddly to deploy or inefficient at cooking. The Castle Stove is neither of these. It takes one second to deploy, which is 100 times quicker than the market leading wood burning stove. The shape of the stove and the double combustion chamber means it can decrease cooking times by 27% compared to all other stoves. Although primarily a wood fuelled stove, the Castle Stove also increases potential heat output when burning methylated spirits and solid fuel tablets. To create the Castle Stove, a set of design criteria were developed through user testing, leading onto thermodynamic research. Then many mechanism and combustion prototypes were created and refined, until the Castle Stove was born.
