On Hold

OnHold is a compostable packaging that allows the user to freeze fresh food, preventing food waste throughout its whole lifecycle in households, within a sustainable network. Working together with changing human behaviour towards the prevention of food waste, it can have benefits both for the consumer and the environment. Portion control will prevent consumers from eating more than necessary, and will reduce leftovers. OnHold will protect the food from freezer burn and keep its flavour, texture, and quality. Airtight containers and a resilient base will allow users to keep the freshness of the food by fast freezing it, and reducing cold gradually to thaw food. By freezing our food, vitamins and nutrients will be the same and even more than fresh-food. Putting our food OnHold is the best way of making the most of it.
