Home shredder with an automatic paper feeder
Existing paper shredders have many problems, in particular the length of time shredding takes, the paper jamming and the size of paper shredders. The concept solves these problems through the use of a paper feeding mechanism, similar to one found in a printer, to feed the paper piece by piece into the shredder blades. It is designed to be stored on a shelf, with a cross sectional area less than an A4 sheet of paper. The paper tray and bin fold into and around the main body to minimise the size when not in use, and the bin can be easily removed to dispose of the shredded paper.
