Passionate about people and their interaction with products and services, I am hoping to progress to a career in service and human-centred design. I am focused on working on projects to improve people's quality of life, with my biggest inspiration so far found in Scott Summit's Beautiful Artificial Limbs.
For a happy mouth from birth
In collaboration with the Speech Therapy team at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, the project aims to promote the development of a healthy mouth from birth. Despite a highly saturated teething toy market, parents remain relatively unaware of the important role of the mouth in infant development. Teethers are designed to reduce teething discomfort, whereas ‘nom noms’ are designed to support the whole mouth through the growing stages of oral motor and sensory development. The ‘nom noms’ family, used in turn, help the infant ‘Soothe’, ‘Learn’ and ‘Explore’, promoting healthy development and confidence in feeding and chewing skills.
