An inclusive radio for people with visual impairments
iO is an inclusive solution to the design of an Internet radio based on the needs of people with visual impairments. With over 2 million visually impaired people in the UK, it is important that designers take into account these groups when designing consumer products. With the rapid development of technology it becomes very important to consider usability issues with interfaces on electronic devices. This project explores design interactions using human factors methodology, metaphors and observations alongside close working with a group of visually impaired volunteers using iterative models and prototypes to produce an intuitive and enjoyable product.
